This was reported by First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal in Telegram.
“State companies, first of all Ukrzaliznytsia and Naftogaz JSC, must urgently ensure the purchase of imported electric energy during the 2025/26 OZP in the amount of at least 50% of total consumption,” Shmyhal wrote.
In addition, the National Commission for State Regulation in the Energy and Utilities Sector (NKREKP) was recommended to review and simplify the connection of backup energy equipment to networks as soon as possible. According to Shmyhal, consideration and approval of the project should take place in 2 days. In the same period, the receipt of technical conditions and inspection and sealing of the accounting unit must take place.
The government is also redistributing spare equipment between regions, taking into account the criticality of the needs for life support facilities.
