South Korea is considering sending its troops to Ukraine after North Korea sent troops to support Russia.

This is reported by Newsweek.

As the agency writes, South Korean mass media, citing an intelligence representative, report that the South Korean government and military are “considering a plan to send an appropriate number of personnel, including intelligence officers specializing in North Korea and experts on enemy tactics” to Ukraine.

Video of the day

It is noted that South Korean personnel in Ukraine will conduct interrogations or provide interpreter services if soldiers from the DPRK are captured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. They will also provide Kyiv with information on North Korea’s military tactics, doctrine and operations.

Later, during the briefing, the Ministry of Defense of South Korea stated that it would consider measures regarding possible deliveries of lethal weapons to Ukraine with an “open attitude”.

Sending North Korean soldiers to war against Ukraine is the main thing

On October 18, the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security published a video showing North Korean soldiers being equipped with Russian equipment.

The Center noted that the received video is no more than 72 hours old. The action takes place at the Serhiyiv training ground in the Far East of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, social networks appeared, probably the first evidence of the presence of North Korean soldiers in the Russian Federation, who are preparing to be transferred to Ukraine.

According to NV sources in the Defense Forces, the aggressor country of the Russian Federation is training about 11,000 soldiers from the DPRK to participate in the war against Ukraine at four Russian training grounds.

On October 18, the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, said that almost 11,000 North Korean soldiers are currently training in eastern Russia to fight against Ukraine.

Also on this day, the intelligence of South Korea announced that the DPRK decided to send 12,000 soldiers, including a special purpose unit, to the war against Ukraine.

On October 20, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine reported that the satellite recorded the movement of thousands of North Korean troops into Russian territory.

On October 21, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced that “the sending of troops by North Korea to participate in hostilities on the side of Russia in Ukraine would mean a significant escalation.”
