These data relate only to the official crossings of the state border, and cases of illegal intersection, for example, through the Tisza River, or departure through temporarily occupied territories, cannot be monitored.
In the first half of 2025, 7.17 million citizens left Ukraine, and 6.92 million returned. Thus, this year the country left 250,000 more than returned, but this difference is 1.6 times less than in the same period last year, when it was 404 thousand.
