This was stated by Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga while communicating with journalists of several media in Warsaw, Ukrinform reports.
According to the Ukrainian Minister, the priority for Ukraine is now receiving from allies of air defense systems for the protection of Ukrainian cities from Russian bombing.
According to him, Ukraine needs on the battlefield of Polish MAZRC Piorun, Sau Krab. He recalled that Poland was a country that at one time initiated a tank coalition for the needs of the Ukrainian army.
Sibiga called the transfer of Polish MiG-29 to Ukraine. He explained that in order to teach one pilot on the F-16, Ukraine takes at least a year. Instead, Ukraine already has prepared MiG-29 pilots and this can be a factor that can change the situation on the battlefield.
“Therefore, we always raise the issue of providing these aircraft to Ukraine when negotiating with Polish friends. We are very relying on a positive solution to this case, ”Sibiga stated.
