The incident happened in the Buchan district of the Kiev region at about 15:22, when the police received a report on the shooting. According to preliminary data, several people have died as a result of this attack, the exact number of victims is currently being established.
All emergency services arrived promptly. Law enforcement officers immediately started a special operation to detain the attacker who tried to escape after the committed.
The territory around the scene was surrounded, and the residents were urged to be safe and not approach the epicenter of events as investigative actions and search for the attacker continue.
It turned out that the attacker who was not a serviceman fired a machine gun. After a few hours of search, he decided to surrender to law enforcement.
Police detained the shooter without further resistance, and investigators are currently working with him. Law enforcement officers establish the motives of his actions, as well as check how he had combat weapons.
