This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.
“Work is ongoing across the country to eliminate the consequences of yesterday’s attack by Russia on the energy system of Ukraine,” he noted.
According to him, power engineers are repairing the damaged equipment around the clock, and so far it has been possible to restore the supply of light, heat and water to the residents of Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv and Rivne regions.
“About 220,000 subscribers remain without electricity in Odesa region, where the situation is the most difficult, and Dnipropetrovsk region,” continued the Prime Minister.
In Odesa, specialists are restoring water supply: the city’s water pumping stations have already been restored, technical water has been delivered.
“Restoration of central heating is in progress. Important social facilities are provided with generators,” concluded Shmyhal.
Earlier, the IAEA stated that the Russian missile-drone attack on November 17 was aimed at substations that depend on the reliable operation of the Khmelnytsky, Rivne and South Ukrainian NPPs.
