The main topic of negotiations was the prospect of creating a free trade area between Ukraine and the United States.
According to Shmigal, such a step can be a powerful impetus for the economic development of both countries and will help to strengthen the partnership between Kiev and Washington.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of support that Ukraine receives from the American people in the fight against Russian aggression.
He stressed that through cooperation with the Minister of Finance US Scott Bessent managed to coordinate further steps to launch the free trade area.

The United States participated in the World Bank and the IMF ministerial round table separately, as well as the US state’s contribution to Ukraine’s financial support.
According to him, American business, which continues to work in Ukraine, plays a key role in keeping jobs and budgeting. Shmigal stressed that Ukraine is interested in attracting even more investors from the United States to participate in the country.
Recall that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved an agreement with Japan, which provides for the attraction of about $ 3 billion in the G7 Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration (ERA) international initiative.
