The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denis Shmigal has negotiated with RheinMetall Group CEO, Armin Papperger, on the construction of artillery shells in Ukraine.
The parties outlined the key stages of implementation of the project and agreed on improved coordination of work.
According to Shmigal, collaboration with Rheinmetall covers three directions – armored vehicles, ammunition and air defense systems.
He stressed that the plant is being built “according to plan” and in the process involved defense companies from different countries to create production and R&D centers in Ukraine.
We will remind, the Minister of Defense Denis Shmigal stated that Ukraine will have more drones-interceptors.
Rheinmetall also declares a high level of bureaucracy in Ukraine.
