September 7, on the Day of Military Intelligence of Ukraine, on the initiative of a public organization “Shadow” in Kyiv, Lviv, Vinnitsa and Odessa, prayer service was held for the fallen intelligence warriors. More than 5,000 participants – youth, veterans and families of defenders – joined the event.
The prayer service became the first public gesture “Shadow” – the All -Ukrainian community of youth, which is already operating in the cities of Ukraine. Here boys and girls pass physical, tactical, domedic and FPV training. The purpose of the organization is to educate a generation of Ukrainians who are ready to take responsibility for themselves and those nearby.
How it happened
Participants in different cities began with a moment of silence, and then took part in a prayer service together. In Kiev, prayers were made at the Assumption Cathedral of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. In Lviv, honoring the feat of the intelligence soldiers gathered in the field of honorary burials (Lychakiv Cemetery). In Vinnitsa, the solemn event took place on Shevchenko Square, in the Holy Transfiguration Cathedral. In Odessa, heroes mentioned on the Walk of Glory.
After that, the columns with flags and the symbols of “Shadow” were held by the central streets of cities. Representatives of the community raised the flags of all divisions of the GRU of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine: “Artan”, “Shamanbat”, “Legion”, “Kraken”, Timur units and “Kabul 9”. In Kiev, the course ended with the solemn hanging of the GUR Flag of Ukraine on the building of the National Museum of History of Ukraine in the Second World War. Memorial complex.
