The chairman of the Center for Combating Corruption Vitaliy Shabunin accused President Vladimir Zelensky of establishing “corruption authoritarianism” and criticized the latest initiatives of the authorities, in particular in the context of combating corruption.

According to Shabunin, Zelensky, using the conditions of war, makes “the first, but confident steps towards corruption authoritarianism.” As an example, he cited a law on amnesty for corruption during the procurement of weapons, which, according to him, was rejected under the pressure of society, but a new initiative is being prepared – this time it was allegedly “under the SBU and the Prosecutor General”.
Another example, according to Shabunin, is the refusal of the Cabinet of Ministers to approve the winner of the competition for the post of director of the Bureau of Economic Security, which, according to him, is a direct violation of the law.
