Vitaliy Shabunin, head of the Anti-Corruption Center, said that employees of the State Bureau of Investigation and the Prosecutor General’s Office were involved in the distribution of his intimate photos on Telegram channels.
According to him, the images were publicly available after the phone was seized during the earlier searches by the law enforcement officers.
The anti-corruption officer emphasized that these actions are an attempt to take revenge for the activities of the Communist Party of Ukraine, which published materials on the interference of security forces in the work of NABU and SAP.
Shabunin emphasized that he considers the publication of private images from a personal device to be a violation of the law and ethical boundaries.
“I must admit that the publication of intimate photos from a phone seized during a search is a new bottom,” he noted.
The public figure added that he places the personal responsibility for the “spill” on the heads of the Security Intelligence Service and the Prosecutor General’s Office, and expects an official investigation of the incident.
Earlier, on November 19, Shabunin reported another incident — according to him, a representative of the Security Service of Ukraine grabbed his phone and fled on the eve of the search. He believes that it was this device that could have become the source of the widespread photos.
The head of the Central Committee was searched in the summer at his place of service in the Kharkiv region.
It will be recalled that Shabunin accused Zelensky of taking steps towards “corrupt authoritarianism”.
Also, in the case of Vitaliy Shabunin, head of the Anti-Corruption Center (CPC), his lawyers appealed to judge Kristina Konstantinova.
