The State Film Agency of Ukraine decided to ban the screening and distribution of a number of films on the territory of Ukraine in 2025. State Cinema reported this to comments “Interfax-Ukraine”.

“For the period from January 1 to December 31, 2025, 2,040 film titles (including TV series) were entered into the State Film Register. During this period, 7 films were banned for distribution and screening on the territory of Ukraine,” Derzhkino said. Among the indicated tapes were not only foreign, but also Ukrainian films.

In particular, the 2010 film “Prayer for Hetman Mazepa. New version”. The reason for the ban was the participation in the tape of the Russian actor Nikita Dzhigurda. The Russian is included in the list of people who pose a threat to the national security of Ukraine.

  • “Max 2: The Hero of the White House” (2017, directed by Brian Levant) – this tape was excluded at the request of the ICTV channel.
