The lieutenant colonel, commander of the Special Operations Forces unit turned out to be a “mole” of Russian intelligence.
The enemy recruited him even before the full-scale invasion in February 2022, the Security Service of Ukraine reports.
In the spring of this year, the “mole” was activated and ordered to “drain” the plans of combat operations of the Defense Forces behind enemy lines.
The aggressor state was most interested in intelligence about sabotage and reconnaissance raids by Ukrainian special forces behind the front line in the Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Crimean directions.
As a result of the special operation, the military counterintelligence of the SBU gradually documented the traitor’s crimes and detained him. He is currently in custody, facing life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine informed about the suspicion of a Ukrainian citizen of Korean origin, Lee Won Chol, who participated in the capture of Luhansk back in 2014.
We also wrote that scandalous deputy Yevhen Shevchenko was suspected of treason. According to the SBU, he systematically engaged in informational and subversive activities for the benefit of the aggressor state.
