From January 1, 2026, the salaries of social workers in Ukraine will increase by almost 2.5 times.
The relevant decision was made by the government, the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity reported.
In particular, the salary of a social manager with the 15th tariff grade will increase from 8,242 hryvnias to 20,607 hryvnias, which is a 150% increase.
A specialist in social work will receive 16,932 hryvnias instead of 6,773 hryvnias, which were paid earlier.
The ministry emphasized that the availability and quality of social assistance and rehabilitation services directly depend on the people who work in this field.
“The work of a social worker requires a significant resource, which is measured not only by professional skills, but also by emotional involvement, the ability to empathize and support. The wage increase is a step towards fair support for those who help others every day,” the agency said.
Next year, more than half of Ukrainian employers plan to increase salaries by 10-20%. The business also maintains staff, continues to hire and actively employs veterans and internally displaced persons.
In Ukraine, the highest salaries among officials are paid by employees of collegial authorities, where the staff is smaller and the number of managers is larger.
