Advancement of Russians in the village of Veliky Novosilka – what is known
On January 20, Khortytsia was noted that the Russian Federation was trying to break through the defense in the Greater Novosilka, throwing considerable resources there. Analysts reported the risk of a complete environment of defense forces in the settlement. ISW wrote that the Russians can close a three -kilometer section to the north and west of the Great Novosilka, surrounding the village in the next weeks.

On January 25, DeepState reported that Russian invaders were publishing staff from the central streets of the Great Novosilka in Donetsk region. Analysts believe that the battle for the settlement is approaching.
According to ISW estimates on January 26, the invaders seized 89% of the territory of the village of Veliky Novosilka.
January 27 spokesman of the operational-strategic group of troops (Chortytsia Victor Tregubov reported that the forces of Ukraine’s defense had left the southern part of the village.
“In order to avoid the environment of Ukrainian forces in the southern part of the settlement, they were removed from there,” Tregubov said.
According to him, the Ukrainian military hold some positions closer to the outskirts of the Greater Novosilka.
