Russian MiG-31K Jets Launch Kinzhal Missiles at Ukraine, Explosions Reported

On the evening of March 28, Russian MiG-31K aircraft were deployed to launch Kinzhal missiles targeting Ukraine, resulting in reported explosions in the Khmelnytskyi region.

According to reports from Suspilne, loud explosions were heard in Khmelnytskyi, with the first alerts about missile threats issued by the Ukrainian Air Force shortly before the attacks. The alert was triggered by the takeoff of the MiG-31K jets, which are capable of carrying the hypersonic Kinzhal missiles.

Shortly after the missile launches, a high-speed target was detected in the Chernihiv region, which subsequently moved through Kyiv and Zhytomyr before heading toward Starokostyantyniv in Khmelnytskyi.

As the situation unfolded, air raid alerts were issued across various regions of Ukraine. By 21:21, the air alert map indicated warnings throughout the entire country.
