Russian hackers staged a large-scale attack on the website of Energoatom

On December 23, for five hours, the official website of the state-owned National Electric Power Plant Energoatom was under a DDOS attack carried out by criminals from the territory of the aggressor country. It is noted that hackers tried to disrupt the functioning of the NAEK website by making about 80 million requests at the same time. “However, Energoatom specialists performed all the necessary actions to localize attacks and protect the site. “However, Energoatom specialists performed all the necessary actions to localize attacks and protect the site. The cyber attack did not lead to any violations and the website continues to work as usual,” Energoatom assured.

We will remind you that earlier Ukraine suffered the largest cyber attack on state registers in recent times. As a result of the attack carried out by Russian hackers, the operation of key systems of the Ministry of Justice was temporarily suspended. The hackers said they destroyed all the data they had access to, including backups on servers in Poland. State registers will be restored for two weeks.
