On March 29, Russian forces launched an airstrike on Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region, resulting in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to seven others.
According to local officials, the attack involved a guided aerial bomb, with confirmed casualties including a 13-year-old child. The injured range in age from 20 to 85 years.
“All responsible services are currently on-site. We are assessing the final casualty count and extent of the damage,” stated the head of the regional military administration.
The official characterized the strike as a deliberate attack on a civilian area, emphasizing that Russian forces are intentionally targeting children. “This is a conscious act of terror against our people. They will be held accountable for every destroyed life and every ruined home,” he added.
This incident is part of a broader pattern of attacks on Kramatorsk. The city has frequently been subjected to indiscriminate bombings, with Russian forces reportedly using guided bombs to maximize civilian casualties.
Earlier attacks include a strike on February 8, 2026, which resulted in one death and several injuries, damaging residential buildings. Just five days later, on February 13, three civilians lost their lives when an aerial bomb destroyed their home.
In September of the previous year, a bombing campaign using FAB-250 bombs targeted central Kramatorsk, injuring 19 individuals and damaging 35 apartment buildings, as well as educational and administrative facilities.
On October 23, 2025, a journalist and a cameraman were killed when their vehicle was deliberately struck by a Russian drone in Kramatorsk.
The recent airstrike in Kramatorsk underscores the ongoing violence in the region, with repeated attacks on civilian targets resulting in loss of life and widespread destruction. Local authorities continue to assess the aftermath of these strikes as the conflict persists.
