The Security Service of Ukraine prevented a large-scale terrorist attack that the Russian special services planned to be carried out in the Ivano-Frankivsk Central Park. A 15-year-old local resident who turned through the Chat Bot of the SBU “slept Fsbshnik” reported about the enemy’s intentions.
According to the SBU, a representative of the special services of the Russian Federation through one of the messengers came to the girl and offered her to “earn”. The task was to make a homemade explosive device and leave it in the thermos in the city center – at the hours of the largest crowd of people.
In order to avoid suspicion from the relatives, the artist had to rent temporary housing and work on explosives in isolation. According to the curators, the explosion was to take place remotely – along with the girl herself, who was planned to be used as a disposable tool.
“In this way, the racists hoped not only to kill as many civilians as possible, but also to eliminate the performer as an unnecessary witness,” the SBU reported.
After refusing to participate in the preparation of the terrorist attack, the curator began to threaten the girl that he would “hand over” her Ukrainian special services. At the same time, the SBU was already investigating this operation, and thanks to the timely appeal of the teenager, it was possible to record all stages of preparing the crime.
The investigation continues under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – “Military Crimes”.
