Energy Minister of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko has already sent a letter to the IAEA after the agency has rotated experts to the ZPP through temporarily occupied territories.
The head of the department emphasized that such rotation violates the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, which is contrary to international law and the legislation of our country.
The agency was reminded that Russia has repeatedly created artificial obstacles to the proper rotation of the IAEA experts and kept international experts at the ZPPP on more than 80 days under unprecedented pressure in the high military risk zone.
“Ukraine again confirms its firm position that any rotation of the IAEA experts at the ZPP should take place in accordance with international law and exclusively routes agreed with the Ukrainian authorities, through territories under full control of Ukraine,” the letter said.
Galushchenko also noted that as a result of the IAEA actions in Ukraine there is no information about who is currently in the territory of the Agency from the Agency, and this is unacceptable.
The IAEA urged to take immediate measures to remedy the situation and ensure that the activities of the Agency of International Law.
The decision of the IAEA to rotate its mission at the Zaporozhye NPP through the occupied territories and Russia is a violation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
On February 5, the MAEA mission rotation at a temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP was postponed due to lack of security guarantees from Russia.
