The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that the basic political document of 20 points on the end of the war is of a framework nature and provides for the conclusion of additional agreements.
The president announced this during a conversation with journalists, Suspilne reports.
It is about the basis of the future architecture of peace, on the basis of which some specific agreements may appear. According to the head of state, the content of these agreements will become clear only after the agreement and signing of the framework document.
Zelensky noted that several levels of security guarantees have already been formed for Ukraine. The central element is the multilateral framework of security obligations, drawn up in the form of a tripartite document between Ukraine, the USA and Europe.
This format should ensure long-term support and coordinated response of partners in case of new threats from Russia.
Separately, a bilateral document has been prepared between Ukraine and the United States, detailing approaches to cooperation in the field of security. It is accompanied by a special appendix dedicated to the military dimension of guarantees.
This appendix prescribes specific steps, response mechanisms and algorithms for the actions of partners in the event of repeated Russian aggression against Ukraine.
It will be recalled that Zelensky is ready to hold elections and a referendum on the peace agreement at the same time.
