The head of the administration emphasized that the closure of transport arteries not only does not speed up repair work, but can also hinder the passage of special equipment and repair crews that work around the clock.
Kalashnyk emphasized that he personally shares the difficulties of the citizens, since in his own apartment on the Left Bank there are also emergency shutdowns and cold temperatures. He assured that energy workers are doing everything possible in extreme weather conditions to stabilize the system after the latest massive shelling. According to OVA forecasts, by the end of the current day, January 11, electricity supply should be restored in all small and large settlements of the region, which will allow to return heat to the homes of Kyivans and residents of the region.
Unlike the situation in the Russian Federation, where any spontaneous protests are harshly suppressed by force, the Ukrainian authorities are trying to conduct an open dialogue with citizens, recognizing the complexity of the situation and providing specific terms for the restoration of services. Citizens are urged to remain calm and use the “points of unbreakability” while the final stage of connecting the most problematic areas of the network continues. The stability of the power system remains a priority, but technical constraints after attacks sometimes require more time to restart than consumers expect.
