RheinMetall CEO Armin Papperger said the excessive Ukrainian bureaucracy slows down the construction of an ammunition plant that the company is building in Ukraine.
About it reports Defense Express.
Comparing the pace with a similar object in unterlyuss, Germany is already ready for launch, while the Ukrainian project is still at the construction stage.
According to him, “the level of bureaucracy in Ukraine is very high”, as well as there is a lack of funding on the Ukrainian side, which complicates the implementation of the project.
At the same time, the company expects doubling of the planned capacity of the Ukrainian plant – from 150,000 to 300,000 shells a year after commissioning, which is critical for defense needs.
Recall that RheinMetall will double the capacity of the Ukrainian plant for the production of 155 mm of Artsnayars.
Lithuania also plans to buy tens of thousands of 40 mm shells worth 16 million euros from the German defense manufacturer Rheinmetall.
