The most popular cryptocurrencies among officials are Tether (USDT), Bitcoin (BTC, XBT) and Ethereum (ETH).
Ukrainian officials mention cryptocurrency in their declarations more and more. Thus, for 2024, officials filed 2 113 cryptocurrency declarations, and this is 2.2 times more than before a full -scale invasion. During the year, such declarations increased by 10%.
Particularly active cryptocurrency is declared by representatives of law enforcement agencies, most in the National Police of Ukraine: 322 declarations mentioned by cryptocurrency, or 15% of all such declarants.
The prosecutor’s office is also not far behind: cryptocurrency is specified in 240 declarations. The judges submitted 227 such documents, and 119 officials with digital assets were found in the city councils.
Among the representatives of the Armed Forces of cryptocurrency was in 77 declarations, and in 38 cases the crypto was declared by NABU representatives.
The number of declarations of Kyiv and the region – 582 and 185 officials with cryptocurrencies are leading. In Kharkiv, the crypt was declared 172 civil servants, and in Dnipropetrovsk – 167. Closes the five Lviv region – 133 declarants with cryptocurrency.
Most often, officials are declared by Tether cryptodolers (USDT) – 802 civil servants. Bitcoin (BTC, XBT), despite all fluctuations in the course, stablely holds the second position – 731 declarations, and Ethereum (ETH) declared 713 officials.
Oleg Bondarenko, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy, declared the most bitcoins. In his account, 80 BTC, which as of April 1 is equal to UAH 279.4 million.
In the category of Evirium (ETH), MP Sergei Mizel was the leader – he has 200 tokens equivalent to UAH 15.5 million. But the record for the number of cryptodolers belongs to the Head of the Department of the Prosecutor General Vitaliy Brovka – his declaration includes 847 908 USDT, which is estimated at UAH 35 million.
There are also several ex-officials who could get into the top-but indicated that they had lost access to their crypto assets. 380.95 bitcoins – a record amount among Ukrainian officials – in 2021, the Deputy Head of the State Geology and Subsoil Roman Saramaga noted and lost, it is about UAH 1.33 billion in UAH equivalent as of April 1, 2025.
Most Evirium – 1,800 units or more than UAH 140 million as of April 1 this year – belongs to the deputy of the Podilskyi district council of Odessa region Igor Osipov, but in last year’s declaration the official noted that he had lost access to his heritage.
In 2024, public servants were filed by almost 627 thousand declarations during the declaration campaign. The declaration campaign ended on March 31, 2025.
Last year, the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption has found false information in declarations for UAH 3.8 billion. Signs of illegal enrichment for UAH 192 million were recorded.
And the Supreme Court questioned the decision of the Court of Appeal that the lack of a notification of the NACC about the fact that the declaration was not submitted by the person excludes the possibility of bringing it to criminal liability.
