Ukraine has recorded a significant increase in prices in the food industry.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in June 2025, the wholesale prices of food, drinks and tobacco produce increased by 21% in the annual dimension. Within the country – by 18.6%, for export – 30.2%.
Meat and meat products went up the most – 24.1%. Dairy prices (18.3%) and bakery increased by 17.5%.
Despite the total growth, sugar producers reduced prices – by 8.1% compared to last year.
According to the State Statistics Committee, eggs (62.7%), sunflower oil (37.2%) and flour (by 36.1%) were most expensive for the year.
The President of the Ukrainian Fruit and Economy Association Taras Bashtannik said “the era of cheap products in the world is over.”
