In the first quarter of 2025, the purchasing agency of the Ministry of Defense “State Tale Operator” fined more than 6 million UAH of food suppliers for the Armed Forces.
According to the UP, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reported with reference to the director of the Department of Policy in the field of procurement of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Gleb Kanevsky.
The reason for fines in the department is the detection of counterfeit products, including dairy products that did not meet state standards.
The first goods that were in -depth were cheese and sour milk cheese – the most vulnerable to the falsification of the category. The samples were selected directly in military units to eliminate the possibility of manipulation.
Of the 35 laboratory tests, 19 samples were falsified, in particular because of the content of non -dairy fats in products, which is a violation of DSTU. For the 6 samples that are selected, DOT still awaits the results of the research.
Recall that the state operator of the rear (the procurement organization of the Ministry of Defense) presented a new model of providing food for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a pilot project, it will work in several regions of Ukraine in 2025.
