Prisoner exchanges between Ukraine and Russia will continue

The exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and Russia will continue, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said during a conversation with journalists. According to Zelenskyi, the process of exchanging prisoners does not stop and will continue in the future. “Exchanges will continue, the teams will work on it,” the head of state said during a conversation with journalists.

The negotiations took place with the participation of the delegations of Ukraine, Russia and the USA in Abu Dhabi. They made it possible to agree on the mechanism of further exchanges and confirm the willingness of the parties to cooperate in this matter. The President emphasized that prisoner exchanges remain a priority for Ukraine and will continue to be carried out for the sake of returning citizens home.

Also, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi stated that Russia is facing serious financial problems and this may make the Kremlin think about a pause in the war.

The USA again proposed Ukraine and Russia to implement an energy truce.
