The European Union countries are discussing the possibility of providing Ukraine with one of the largest military assistance packages for at least 6 billion euros, Politico reports.

The package may include more than 1.5 million artillery shells and air defense systems, and its announcement is expected to be the anniversary of a full -scale invasion of Russia on February 24.

The amount can increase to € 10 billion if countries find more weapons in their reserves. The decisions will be discussed by EU Foreign Ministers next week in Brussels. However, unanimous approval is questionable due to possible opposition of Hungary.

The German government has updated the list of military assistance provided to Ukraine. According to him, the Armed Forces received additional armored vehicles, missiles for air defense and other ammunition.

Finland has allocated a new military aid package for nearly 200 million euros. This is the 27th tranche of military equipment for Ukraine.
