The Kiev police have prevented the illegal sale of rare artifacts of the IV-V centuries. Among the unique finds that tried to sell at the auction are fragments of a male bracelet and a belt, as well as silver fibula.

These jewelry were a sign of the highest status of the Great Migration of Peoples and belonged to the nobility of the barbaric kingdoms. Currently, objects of cultural heritage of world importance, which do not have in any museum of the world, will be transferred to the National Museum of Ukrainian History.
To prevent the sale of archaeological finds, which have exceptional historical and cultural value, has been interacted with the experts of the leading historical museum of the country. Representatives of the establishment on the site for collectors tracked the announcement of the sale of rare artifacts – a fragment of a bracelet and a golden end of a belt in the form of a head of a predatory bird with a grenade insert.
“True treasures that are nowhere to be in the world, the resident of the Kirovohrad region has tried to sell for nothing. In addition, we have established the fact of sale by another seller of silver fibulae – a rare fastener for clothing decorated with sophisticated jewelry techniques, which simultaneously served as a decoration for its owner. These unique products are dated to the IV-V century and belonged to the nobility of the barbaric kingdoms during the Great Migration of Peoples, in particular their geography belongs to Northern, Central and Eastern Europe.
Currently, police have appointed art expertise to confirm the authenticity and cultural value of the seized products. Upon completion of the examination, the artifacts will be submitted to the National Museum of Ukrainian History for their further storage and study.
