President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded the dead poet and warrior Maxim Kryvtsov the highest state rank – Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the Golden Star.
The artist died on January 7, 2024 on the front in the fight against Russian invaders.
Kryvtsov was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity, and since 2014 he volunteered to defend Ukraine. After the full -scale invasion, he again took the weapon.
Earlier, the President was already posthumously awarded the poet with the Order of Merit of III degree.

Also killed in the Russian captivity by journalist Victoria Roshchyna was awarded the Order of Freedom.
