The police officer was informed about the suspicion of assisting the activities of an organized group that was engaged in the illegal cultivation and sale of hemp.

According to the investigation, he received $ 10,000 undue benefits for promising to “do not interfere” in the work of the drug.
The law enforcement officer, according to investigators, came into conspiracy with the participants of the criminal group, which was engaged in the cultivation of drug -containing plants. In response to a monetary reward, he promised to leave their activities without attention.
He was charged with the receipt of undue benefits and assistance in the illegal cultivation of hemp for the purpose of sale – under Article 368 (368) of Article 27 and 2 of Article 310 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The prosecutor’s office appealed to the court with a request to take the suspect with the possibility of making a bail of 1.5 million hryvnias. However, the court made a decision on house arrest for a police officer.
Prosecutors consider this decision too soft and already prepare the appeal, insisting on the choice of a more severe preventive measure.
