For the second time in a row, the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court of Ukraine postponed the case of the People’s Deputy Sergei Kuzminy, who is accused of bribery.

The reason for the absence of parliamentarian this time was his business trip to the Republic of Moldova, which lasts from May 19 to May 25.
The protection of Kuzmini filed a petition for postponement of the meeting, referring to the “inter -parliamentary cooperation” of the deputy. It should be noted that this is not the first time when the case has to be delayed due to the absence of the accused: the previous meeting also did not take place due to his participation in state events.
According to the Center for Combating Corruption, such situations occur regularly – there were also treatment, work in the Verkhovna Rada and foreign business trips.
The panel of judges decided to postpone the case on May 26 at 14:30. At the same time, the court informed the Verkhovna Rada apparatus about the schedule of court sessions to plan further business trips.
We will remind, Sergiy Kuzminych, the head of the subcommittee on pharmacy and pharmaceutical activity, was detained in January 2022 during the receipt of an undue benefit of UAH 558 thousand. According to the investigation, he received money for assistance in signing contracts between private companies and a hospital in Zhytomyr region. The case is being considered by the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court, and the stage of evidence research has been going on for over two years.
Experts of anti -corruption organizations are concerned about delaying the process, as the limitation period in this case expires in less than two years.
Earlier, we wrote that law enforcement officers completed the investigation of the People’s Deputy from the “servant of the people” by Sergei Kuzminy. He is suspected of receiving 558 thousand hryvnias of bribe.
