The Committee on Culture, Science, Education and Media PACE in Paris has approved two resolutions on Ukraine.

“These are the resolutions about our journalists in captivity (” Journalists Matter: The Need to Step Up Efforts to Liberate Ukrainian Journalists Held in CAPTIVITY BY the RUSSIAN Federation “) and about the role of youthful movements Democracy ”),” Kravchuk said.
Key Points of Journalists Resolution in captivity:
- A list of names of journalists who are illegally held by the Russian Federation – a specific advocacy – now 26 captured media people;
- The document greeted the liberation of Ukrainian journalists: Vladislav Esipenko, Dmitry Khiluk and Mark Kaliusz. Their return home is proof that international pressure is working;
- Strong factual basis for crimes against media and journalists, separately mentioned Russian attacks and destruction of editions Channel 5, Ukrainian Pravda, Radio Liberty and TV channel FREED:
- Clear sanction proposals with the categories of officials who should be held accountable – including prison leaders and generally the Penitentiary System of the Russian Federation, where journalists are illegally detained;

“It is important that the resolution recalls the tragic history of Victoria Roshchi, a journalist who was tortured in Russian captivity. Starting from this autumn session, the PACE will start the annual ceremony in her memory – “Victory for Victoria”, – Kravchuk said.
Voting on these issues will be held in the PACE session hall during the autumn session – October 1.
