The President’s Office has doubts about the authenticity of the peace plan of the future US President Donald Trump published in the media, which allegedly involves freezing the front line and refusing to join NATO.

Dmytro Lytvyn, communications adviser to the President of Ukraine, told reporters, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

He noted that the plans of the presidents will not be communicated through newspapers.

“In general, we can say that the real plans of presidents are hardly announced in newspapers. And there are always a lot of Russian interjections in the newspapers,” noted Lytvyn.

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal wrote that Donald Trump’s advisers put forward different versions of the plan to actually freeze the front line in Ukraine. One of them envisages Ukraine’s refusal to join NATO for 20 years.

According to the publication, this plan includes freezing the front line and creating an 800-mile demilitarized zone (almost 1300 km). In addition, it provides for Russia to leave approximately 20% of the territory of Ukraine, which the aggressor country seized.

Trump, a Republican, has repeatedly promised to end the war in Ukraine in three or even one day if he is re-elected president. He assured that he could do it even before the official inauguration in January 2025.

According to the results of the US presidential election on November 5, Trump won with 277 votes against Democrat Kamala Harris’ 224.
