At the same time, the enterprise understands that this step will create inconvenience for consumers, but another way out, given the current situation, does not see.
According to acting Director of Rivneoblvodokanal Andriy Hrukhal, supplying water with low pressure will take place in separate hours in the afternoon, when the cost of the electricity tariff is the highest, as well as at night, – explains acting. Director of Rivneoblvodokanal Andriy Hrukhal.
“We were delaying this step as we could, but it cannot continue. Prior to the hourly supply of reduced pressure, we are forced by the difficult financial situation that has developed at the enterprise because of the mismatch of our tariffs to the real economic situation. And it’s not about profits, but that the water utility simply survives, ”Grhal said.
He stated that nowadays the economically justified tariff should be 57 UAH 7 cents per “cubic” of water supply and sewerage (together with VAT) for all categories without exception. He believes that for the population the current tariff is very far from the realities, because it still remains at the pre -war level (2021 – ed.) And makes 32 mane 60 cents of VAT.
He explained that the enterprise provides in the NERCEP all the necessary documents with calculations and the regulator constantly approves a new, economically justified for all tariffs. However, through the Cabinet resolution, which recommends that the cost of utilities for the population at the time of martial law, this category of consumers continues to pay the old numbers in payments.
However, despite the fact that the population is calculated for consumed services almost completely, the economically unjustified tariff has led to the debt of “Rivneoblvodokanal” reached more than UAH 115 million. Of these, about 70 million are electricity debt, and the remaining 45 million are the debt of the enterprise to Rivneazot for wastewater cleaning.
“That is why the company believes that the only way that will save a little to save on electricity is the hourly restriction of water supply for the population,” – summed up Hrhal.
