According to the agency, all the latest mobile scanners, which have been announced earlier, have already passed the final testing and put into operation. They are placed in key export-import directions: “Punct-Siret” and “Orlovka-Isakcha” on the Romanian border, “Uzhgorod-Cherry Nemiene”-on the border with Slovakia, as well as “Krakivtsi-Korchov” and “Yagodin-Dorogosk”.
In addition to the technical launch, a comprehensive staff training program started as part of the project. Customs staff are taught to work with new equipment – special attention is paid to technical characteristics, analysis of the obtained images, identifying potential threats and rapid response to risks.
They also prepare future instructors who, after completing the in -depth course, will be able to conduct training for scanning operators independently.
Earlier, we wrote that since the beginning of a full -scale invasion in border areas and checkpoints detained 49,000 men who tried to cross the border of Ukraine illegally.
On May 8, the repair of the Korchova-Krakivtsi checkpoint began, which will last until mid-June, Shehini and Ustilug-Zosin also under reconstruction.
