On January 24, 2026, hourly blackouts and capacity restrictions for industrial enterprises will be in effect in all regions of Ukraine. The reason is the consequences of Russian missile and drone strikes on energy infrastructure. “Ukrenergo” advises to follow the schedules in your region and to use electricity sparingly when it is available.
The energy system of Ukraine is currently operating in a mode of limited capacity due to constant enemy attacks on power generation facilities. To avoid accidents and interruptions, hourly blackouts for the public and restriction schedules for industrial consumers are introduced.
“The situation in the power system can change during the day. The time and extent of shutdowns at your address should be checked on the official pages of oblenergo in your region. When electricity appears on schedule, please consume it sparingly,” Ukrenergo emphasized.
The company also advises Ukrainians to plan the use of electrical appliances so as not to overload the system when power is restored. Shutdown schedules help to evenly distribute the load and ensure the operation of critical facilities.
Note that the restrictions apply to all areas, and even in cases where there is light, it is recommended to use it sparingly – this allows you to avoid emergency shutdowns and maintain energy stability.
Also, the Recovery Agency strengthened the protection of large substations of “Ukrenergo”.
