On Sunday, February 8, cloudy weather and snow will cover Ukraine. Light snow and frost up to 9° are expected in the north and in the center. In the south and west, the temperature will rise to 6°C, but there will be rain, ice and sleet in places. This was reported in the Ukrainian hydrometeorological center.
In the northern and most central regions of the country, 4–9° of frost is expected at night and during the day. There will be little snow, and there will be ice on the roads in places. North and northwest wind 5–10 m/s.
In the rest of the territory, the forecast is more difficult. Moderate snow is possible in the east, southeast, Poltava region and Transcarpathia, with rain, ice and sleet in some places. No precipitation is expected in most of the southern regions. The temperature during the day will range from 4° of frost to 1° of heat, and in Transcarpathia and the extreme south it will rise to 6° of heat in the afternoon.
Fog and ice will be characteristic of eastern regions, Dnipropetrovsk region, Poltava region and Zaporizhzhia. The wind is mainly northerly, with a speed of 5–10 m/s. It will also be cloudy with light snow in Kyiv and the region. Ice is expected on the roads, so drivers are advised to be careful. The temperature at night and during the day will remain at the level of 4-9 degrees of frost, and the wind will be northerly, 5-10 m/s.
Meteorologists advise Ukrainians to keep warm and be careful on the roads, because ice and fog can make driving difficult.
