On Monday, December 1, scheduled power outage schedules implemented by Ukrenergo due to shortages in the energy system and high load on the network will again be in effect throughout the territory of Ukraine.
Restrictions will apply to all areas, so residents are advised to plan their day in advance, taking into account possible blackouts.
Energy experts emphasize that such steps make it possible to avoid larger-scale accidents and the complete blackout of entire regions.
According to the published information, hourly outage schedules will be in effect throughout the day — from 00:00 to 23:59, while from 0.5 to 3 lines of consumers may be cut off at the same time.
We are talking about queues that are formed by Oblenergo, distributing the load between different areas of settlements. Thus, different houses and neighborhoods can remain without electricity at different times, even within the same city.
Separate power curtailment schedules for industrial consumers are being introduced — also from 00:00 to 23:59 — to reduce pressure on the power system during peak hours.
Large enterprises must adjust production processes to these limits to avoid overloads and emergency shutdowns. This approach, according to the plan of the power engineers, makes it possible to maintain a balance between the needs of business and the stability of the network.
