The Pechersk District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Kyiv reported suspicion to a 34-year-old plastic surgeon, the founder of a private medical clinic, due to improper performance of professional duties during an aesthetic operation.

According to UA News sources, it is about plastic surgeon Oleksandr Bebykh, the founder of a private medical clinic and ex-husband of doctor Kateryna Dudikova. It was to him that the Pechersk District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Kyiv informed about the suspicion of improper performance of professional duties during surgical intervention.

The investigation established that in April 2023, a 39-year-old woman turned to a doctor for browlifting (eyebrow lifting) and rhinoplasty, paying 7,200 euros for the operation. During the intervention, the surgeon made a gross mistake, damaging the temporal branch of the left facial nerve. This led to partial paralysis of the face, loss of sensitivity and irreversible facial expressions.

According to the conclusions of the complex forensic medical examination, the injuries received are a direct consequence of the violation of surgical technique and non-compliance with the protocols of providing medical care. The actions of a doctor are qualified under part 1 of Art. 140 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The notice of suspicion was served only at the beginning of 2026, after the completion of all examinations and the formation of the evidence base.

If found guilty, the suspect faces up to two years in prison, a ban on practicing medicine for up to five years, and payment of material and moral compensation to the victims within the framework of a civil lawsuit.

Earlier, Lviv anesthesiologist Iryna Poda, who was informed of the suspicion of the death of five-year-old Veles Pashnyk during dental treatment, joined the army. Her defenders are asking for the proceedings in the case to be stopped.

We will remind, earlier the law enforcement officers referred to the court the case of a dentist and an anesthesiologist from Ternopil, where a one-year-old boy died after a medical procedure.
