This holiday honors everyone who is to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, including military, volunteers, doctors, volunteers and rescuers, as well as the memory of fallen heroes.
The holiday was postponed from the traditional date on October 14 to October 1 in 2023. The reason for the transfer was the transition of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (PCU) and the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) to the Novova Laple calendar.
The three most important holidays for Ukrainians include Easter and Christmas, as well as the Independence Day of Ukraine.
