On September 11, NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine has concluded a contract with the International Law Firm Loyens & Loeff NV (Netherlands) for 700 thousand euros (over UAH 33 million) to provide legal services in connection with the Hague arbitration for compensation for $ 5 billion.
According to Our Money, with reference to Prozorro, the agreement provides for a two-year representation of the interests of Naftogaz in the Netherlands courts, including the appeal of the final decision in the case of RSA No. 2017-16.
The hourly rate of the partner of the firm is 556 euros, the senior lawyer – 416 euros, the junior – 208 euros. The purchase was carried out without bidding, which allows the law for advocacy.
Earlier in April 2025, Naftogaz ordered the services of the Czech firm Havel & Partners SRO for 300 thousand euros to accompany the arbitration decision.
We will remind, “Naftogaz of Ukraine” for another year will continue to supply gas for Ukrainian families at a constant price – 7.96 UAH per cubic meter.
Naftogaz of Ukraine also concluded a loan agreement with the state “Ukrgasbank” for gas purchases.
