“Until recently, weapons were virtually unknown outside the defensive circles of Ukraine, despite the fact that, according to the documents obtained by Kyiv Independent, it seems one of the largest – if not the largest – the recipient of budget funds of the Ministry of Defense for drones,” the article said.
“But in recent weeks, Fire Point has launched an active advertising campaign, promoting its deep-ranging FP-1 drones and Flamingo winged missiles in the Western media. In his first public comments about this weapon, Zelensky called “flamingo” the most successful rocket that Ukraine has in its arsenal to protect against a almost four -year full -scale invasion of Russia, ”the newspaper writes.

Fire Point appeared in 2023 and quickly became one of the key contractors of the Ministry of Defense. It is it that produces the FP-1 long-range drones and the winged Flamingo rocket, which Zelensky recently called the most successful in the arsenal of Ukraine. In 2024, the company sold drones for UAH 13.2 billion (about $ 320 million), receiving almost a third of the entire “drone” budget of the Ministry of Defense. According to the management, Fire Point has produced about 2000 devices and plans to increase production of up to 9,000 units in 2025.
