Last week, the Ministry of Community Development and Territories of Ukraine received the first UAH 4.3 billion to pay for housing certificates for IDPs. During the week of the program, 50 families have already implemented certificates and purchased new homes.
This was announced by the Vice Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine-Minister of Community and Territories Development Alexei Kuleb.
“Another 2.5 thousand families have applied for reservation and after the completion of the technical process will be able to buy new apartments or houses quickly,” he said.
“We also work with international partners: we already have agreements with the Council of Europe Development Bank to finance the compensation program for another 4.2 billion UAH,” Kuleba added.
At the same time, he said, the preparation of a comprehensive program to support internally displaced persons is underway. It will cover not only housing, but also employment and training, access to medical services and social support. Work is also underway to create a single digital system for IDPs.
“A separate direction is the development of municipal housing for internally displaced persons with the support of the European Investment Bank. In the first stage, 400 million euros will be directed to the implementation of this project, ”the minister said.
We will remind that under the Equation program more than 70 thousand families received compensation for damaged housing and almost 5 thousand applicants received residential certificates for the purchase of a new one.
Earlier it was reported that Izium in Kharkiv region declared the first suspicions of criminal proceedings about fraud with compensation under the State Education Program.
It should be reminded that almost UAH 7 billion has been allocated for the payment of the compensation agreed under the Equinical Program. Most of this amount will be received by the owners of the destroyed homes – more than UAH 4 billion, the rest will be spent on compensation for housing repairs.

Also we will remind that in June 2024 the growth of gross domestic product (GDP) of Ukraine slowed 1.1%. As a result, in the first half of the growth of the Ukrainian economy, it is estimated at 4.1%.
