This is reported by analysts of the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business (UKAB) in the Christmas price monitoring.

The price of chicken fillet increased the most during the year – from 171 hryvnias per kilogram in November last year to 250 hryvnias this year (+45%). Compared to October, the price of chicken also increased, although not significantly (+1%).

The average price of chicken carcass increased by 32% over the year – from UAH 85.6 to UAH 113/kg. The price of chicken thigh rose a little more, by 35% – from UAH 114 to UAH 155/kg.

Beef is steadily becoming more expensive from year to year. In 2023, a kilogram of goulash cost 250 hryvnias, a year ago – 300 hryvnias, now its price is 352 hryvnias (+17%).

A dozen C1 chicken eggs increased in price by an average of 10% over the year – from 74.1 to 81.6 hryvnias.

The meat industry in Ukraine is now feeling the pressure of production costs the most, says UKAB. Chicken prices continue to rise due to higher feed prices, while beef prices are at record highs due to livestock shortages.
