On January 5, the defense committee decided to remove Bezugla from the post of its deputy chairman. Bezugla called it repression and said that “everything was done as insidiously as possible.” The regulatory committee recommended that the deputies decide on the removal of Bezugla by voting in the hall.
On January 10, Parliament Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk refused to put this issue on the agenda. Deputies even blocked the rostrum with a demand to consider its revocation, but it did not yield results – Stefanchuk closed the meeting.
The next day after that, Bezugla announced that she had written a statement to leave the faction and the party.
On January 16, Stefanchuk again refused to put Bezuglai’s removal on the agenda.
In February, Bezugla left the “Servant of the People” party. At the same time, the Verkhovna Rada did not have enough votes to pass a resolution on recalling Bezugla from the post of deputy head of the National Security and Defense Committee. There were not enough votes, despite the agreement at the conciliation council.
On July 15, Bezugla was removed from the post of chairman of the Council’s subcommittee on national security. At the same time, she remains the deputy chairman of the Committee.
On July 17, she left the Servant of the People faction on the second attempt.
On July 22, the Defense Committee of the Council supported Bezugla’s dismissal from the post of deputy chairman and her exclusion from the board. However, according to the legislation, the decision on this should be taken by the parliament.
On September 4, the Rada was unable to recall Bezugla from the position of deputy of the defense committee – there were not enough votes.
