The Defense Council of the Chernihiv region adopted a decision on mandatory evacuation of residents of 14 border settlements. We are talking about villages in Novgorod-Siverska, Semenivska, Snovska and Horodnyanska communities.
This was reported by the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Viacheslav Chaus.
According to the head of the OVA, the border territories of the region are under daily enemy shelling. Despite the constant threat, about 300 civilians still remain in these territories.
“However, a little more than 1,400 residents left the border this year. OVA, district military administrations and communities are systematically working on this. The task is to take people away from dangerous areas. Now there is an official decision on mandatory evacuation. It is the military who see such a need,” Chaus explained.
He noted that the evacuation process should be completed within 30 days. All residents of 14 settlements will be informed in advance about the designated collection points.
“All necessary services are included in the process. There are special evacuation routes, there is transport. Resettlement of evacuees is a mandatory condition. Guaranteed places for temporary residence,” added the head of the Chernihiv OVA.
Previously, mandatory evacuation of children and their parents from 19 settlements was introduced in the Donetsk region.
Prior to this, the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine (Ministry of Development) announced the beginning of forced evacuation of children with their parents from dangerous areas of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
The Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine reported that mandatory evacuation of children together with their parents or legal representatives has been agreed upon from a number of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
In Kharkiv region announced compulsory evacuation of families with children from the village of Odnorobivka.
