Lilia Pashinna became the new leader of the Office of Congress of Local and Regional Authorities.

Her candidacy was supported by more than 330 participants of the Congress Presidium meeting, which took place in a videoconference format.
The meeting was presented under the chairmanship of Presidential Office Andriy Yermak. It was attended by the executive secretary of the Congress Presidium Viktor Nikita, Viceremier-Minister for Recovery Alexei Kuleb, as well as other representatives of local and central authorities.
Yermak stressed that the Congress Office should become a platform to solve urgent community problems and ensure effective communication between local and central government.
Andriy Yermak thanked Vyacheslav Negoda for his work as the previous head of the Congress Office. He noted that the new leadership should continue the initiatives started and promote the development of regions.
Lilia Pashinna has considerable experience in public administration. In 2019-2020, she headed the patronage service in the Ministry of Community and Territories of Ukraine. Subsequently, she became a adviser to Andriy Yermak and joined the political council of the Servant of the People.
In 2020, Pashinna was elected a deputy of the Kyiv City Council of the ninth convocation from the same party, where she held the position of first deputy chairman of the commission on budget, socio-economic development and investment activity.
In 2021, Lilia Pashinna became a member of the Presidium of the newly created Congress of regional authorities under the President of Ukraine. It also heads the Ukrainian delegation in the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe.
Recall that one of the possible international security guarantees will help Ukraine to retain such armed forces that will reflect any threat.
