The founder of StateWatch and activist Oleksandr Lemenov, who is suspected of evading the draft during mobilization, filed an appeal against the preventive measure chosen for him. The hearing of this appeal is scheduled in the Court of Appeal for January 28 of this year.

The newspaper informs that, in accordance with the decision of the investigating judge of the Bilotserkiv City District Court dated 27.12.2024 in case No. 357/18644/24, a preventive measure was imposed on Lemyenov in the form of bail in the amount of UAH 60,560. He is also responsible for arriving at the first call to the investigator, prosecutor, investigating judge, court and informing them about the change of his place of residence.
Such precautionary measures are necessary because, while being registered at the Belotserkivskyi District Territorial Center for Manpower and Social Support as a conscript, being recognized as a result of a medical examination conducted on 05.02.2024 by the military medical office | by the commission as fit for military service, Lemenov evaded conscription for military service during mobilization.
In December of last year, upon arriving at the Bilotserkiv TCC, he was read a summons about the need to arrive at the TCC assembly point for sending conscripts to the ranks of the Armed Forces and was warned of criminal liability for evading the draft, refused to receive the summons in the presence of two witnesses who were interrogated in court Accordingly, Lemenov did not show up at the assembly point at the specified time. Two days later, Lemienov was informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Article 336 of the Criminal Code, which provides for up to 5 years of imprisonment. Then he was declared wanted.
