According to the case file, on September 1, during the urgent investigative actions, law enforcement officers found two pyrotechnic products, 50 sleeves to ammunition and 85 containers for plastic sleeves in the apartment of the suspect. Also in the apartment, Scelkov investigated a piece of paper with the extract of articles of legislation, flash drives, mobile phones, orders and medals of the USSR and Ukraine in the amount of 33 pieces, 25 icons and metal stars.
In addition, in the house in the village of Kolodiivka, Kamianets-Podilskyi district of Khmelnytsky region, where the suspect was hiding, law enforcement officers came across a special find-a postcard with a handwritten inscription: “… Your so-called mouse.” It is probably about the son of the suspect Mikhail Scelnikov, who in 2023 died in Bakhmut.
Separately, the editorial staff managed to find out the details of masking the traces of the crime to the suspect. According to the investigation, after the murder of the politician Andrei Parubiy Mikhail Scelnikov burned his own clothes in the forest area in the city of Vinnytsia, Lviv region. Then disassembled the electric bicycle, the front wheel and the battery of which was thrown into the lake. In Lake Lesne, the killer Parubiy drowned his tool of crime – a gun. We will add that at the scene of the murder of People’s Deputy Andriy Parubiy (48 Efremova St.), law enforcement officers found seven sleeves.
During the interrogation, the suspect said that after committing the murder he went to the village of Kolodiivka Kamianets-Podilskyi district of Khmelnytsky region. He was sent there by an unknown person with whom Mikhail Scelnikov was communicated through Telegram. The same person ordered the suspect to expect further instructions on hiding and escape. However, in the future Scelnikov caught Police officers.
